Victims of the Winter

The ocean's frozen over, so the waves don't crash into the shore anymore, and their
erosion is missed, though we cursed it once before.
And now you freeze, with the breeze.

We became victims of the winter, sinner after sinner.
Each glimmer after glimmer of snow hits the ground.
We found our homes were buried
And crushed under the pressure.
Each glimmer after glimmer of snow hits the ground.

When the sun perched in the sky, I knew it wouldn't come down tonight, so we
danced and sang our songs, around an open fire.
But the stars start to cross;
our blissful burns turn to frost.

We became victims of the winter, sinner after sinner.
Each glimmer after glimmer of snow hits the ground.
We found our homes were buried
And crushed under the pressure.
Each glimmer after glimmer of snow hits the ground.

But the fire kept me alive,
While death was what I strived.
So I’ll ride this wave again,
And pray that I can prevent being a victim of the winter, sinner in step of sinner.

Each glimmer after glimmer of snow hit the ground.
I found my home was buried
And crushed under the pressure.
Each glimmer after glimmer of snow hits the ground.

I'm scared of the winter, because I've always been a sinner,
each glimmer after
glimmer of snow hits the ground.
I board up all the windows, and lock myself inside as each glimmer after glimmer
of snow hits the ground.
